  If someone were to ask me what kind of food I could eat everyday for the rest of my life, the answer, unequivocally would be middle eastern food. The spices, the combination of flavors, the method of cooking the meats and veggies, and the breads, are all fantastic. Although my initial craving this night was for thai basil rice, I'm  pleased that I came upon Al-Sham.
  
  Here is the order I placed on 10/14/19:
  
  NY Combo Entree
  Chicken & Lamb Combo. All Platters Served on Seasoned Brown Rice, White & Red (Spicy) Sauce on Top of Meat Comes with Salad
  
  Al- Sham Wrap
  Chicken Shawerma, Fried Onions, Green Peppers, Chili & Sweet Peppers, Hot Peppers, Lettuce, Tomatoes & Cheese

  This restaurant has multiple locations across Philly. The location on City Line Ave seemed to be closer to my delivery address but Grubhub said the 10 minute distance was too far. I finally figured out which location served my delivery address and, after an unfortunate situation with UberEats, placed a copycat order based on the pictures posted here by other Yelpers (thanks guys).
  
  I received a phone call from the driver in the allotted delivery time. Back in the beat laboratory I unpacked the food. Two styrofoam containers stacked, with a menu, salt, pepper, ketchup, and one pack of utensils in a neat brown paper bag, stapled together with my receipt. The NY Combo looked amazing in the drizzled sauce style of the street vendors. The Shwarma wrap (on the menu as the AlSham Wrap) was STUFFED with meat and the fries were the flavorful textured kind (my favorite).  The portion sizes were large and filling. The price was substantially lower for the amount of food I received then other places I've tried since I moved to Philly. Everything tasted soooo good and as I write this, the next day, I'm contemplating ordering again. This time, I'll try the Baklava *heart eyes*
  
  I will be back and I highly recommend this place.

  Never go my delivery. I called the restaurant after it was 15 minutes late and was told the driver was 5 minutes away. Another 20 minutes go by still no food. At this point I had ordered more than 90 minutes ago. Called the restaurant again and they said there was a mix up the driver went to the wrong address.  The food wouldn't be coming anytime soon. It was nearly 2 hours after I ordered.
  
  Here's my problem. First the restaurant is 8 minutes away. I could have walked bought food walked back and ate it 90 minutes. Secondly they didn't bother to ever call and say there was a problem or the food wasn't coming. They just let me sit there waiting.
  
  I'll never order from this place again. It's a slow Tuesday night and they still can't be bothered to respect their customers.

  Al-sham disappointed me last evening. From the ordering to the food preparation. Dried up chicken. Over cooked Salmon. Sloppy presentation And poor attitude on the phone.

  One word: delicious!
  I have passed the Al-Sham on city Ave a million times and have wanted to try it but the lack of parking deters me.
  
  Craving kabobs we decided to order delivery from the closer and newly opened "Al-Sham 4"
  The delivery was relatively quick (1hr at prime time) and the food arrived warm and well packaged.
  
  I had the mixed kofta kabob with beef and chicken which was tender and flavorful. Sometimes these kofta can be dry and flavorless but not from Al-Sham. You could see the herbs and spices in the meat and they were cooked to perfection. The yellow rice is great and the small salad and garlic sauce/hummus/pita is the perfect addition.
  
  My bf had the lamb/chicken kabobs which he loved! The servings were large and affordable at around $10-12. We will happily order again soon!

  First off, I go to the location on bustleton in the Northeast all the time and love it. This was the first time ordering from this location and I was not disappointed. I got the NY Chicken and Lamb Combo Salad which was really good. Both the chicken and Lamb were cooked to perfection and they gave a lot of it. The vegetable samosa and the cheese pie we're very good too. I wasn't a huge fan of the meat pie, but everything was great! They have a huge menu here and I can't wait to try everything!
